As he was about to make a decision, Jake heard a warning alarm on the dashboard. He was almost out of fuel. He didn't have enough fuel to get to either the blue or green planets on his fuel tank, the brown planet was closer, so he had a better chance of reaching it. He asked the computer to plot a course for the brown planet, which he saw on the ship screen was named Raxus Prime. His fuel tank would get him as far as the planet's surface, but no further. He had heard of Raxus Prime, it was the galaxy's junkyard, the only inhabitants, as far as he knew, were the indigenous animals, mutated by centuries of waste. It was the last place in the galaxy that Jake could hope to make his fortune. But it was all he could do, he couldn't get to any of the other planets, they were too far off. He had nearly reached the planet. He could see it out the window. It looked like it was burning, the fumes of burning rubbish blocking his view of the planet's surface. His ship entered the upper atmosphere. The atmosphere was full of thick gas, thick enough to carry the ship. He turned the ship engines off, so he wouldn't risk igniting the flammable gases in the atmosphere. He then simply waited. There it was, a pocket of thinner air. He turned the ship to find the thinner air current, and felt his stomach leap. His ship dropped like a stone. He closed his eyes. Suddenly, the ship came to an abrupt halt. It stopped so quickly, that Jake was thrown forward and his head banged into the front screen. Just before he lost consciousness, he saw through the screen, a hooded and cloaked figure, both of his arms raised. Then, Jake knew no more.
