Call Hope

    by: Pseudonym Author IconMail Icon
A short while later, you heard a soft knock on your door. Outside was Hope, dressed in a plain blue shirt, short white shorts and white socks, beaming up at you. She carried a pair of pink roller skates that she had presumably used to get to your place, and grinned up at you with her soft golden hair and pretty green eyes.

"Heya" she said "How are you?"
"I'm alright" you replied "Come in, make yourself comfortable."

With little hesitation Hope giggled and raced inside, tossing her skates aside and leaping on to your couch.

"Now are you sure you want to be a goddess?" you asked, trembling a little with excitement as you went over to the kitchen to retrieve the formula.
"Are you kidding me? Of COURSE!" said Hope "I'd LOVE to be a goddess."
"It's a lot of responsibility" you continued seriously.
"I'm the queen of responsibility" countered Hope "My mom says I'm the most responsible person she knows."

You chuckle a little as you hand her the formula. "Drink it" you instruct with a smile "This will make you all powerful, all knowing - just perfect in every way."
"Thanks!" she beamed, before slugging it down quickly "Hmm, tastes like orange juice. Woah..."

"What is it? Are you alright?" you asked.
"Yeah, I just feel a little strange..."
"I'm sure having unlimited power will take some getting used to. Go ahead, try it out. Just wish for something."

Hope smiled shyly and closed her eyes. Slowly but surely, she rose up off the couch and levitated in the middle of your living room.

"Oh come on" you laugh "You can do anything in the world and all you want to do is fly? You're an omnipotent Goddess now, Hope. You might as well show me what you can do."

"Well... let's see..." continued Hope "How about I remove all the disease from the world... done. All the unhappiness... gone. Corruption, gone, wars, gone, evil, gone, bullies, gone... hmmm, I'll probably think of some other stuff later."

You smile. Seemed like you had made the right choice after all.

"Try creating some stuff!" you said excitedly.
"Alright" she replied with eyes narrowed "More rainbows - let's have some dragons... mermaids... fairies... unicorns... elves... oh, and I'd like to be a princess!"
As she finished, a regal tiara appeared out of nowhere and landed on her head. As it did, her casual clothes were replaced with a gown of ornate silk which looked very comfortable.

"Just a princess?" you said astonished "You deserve to be much more than that! As a goddess I should think you ought to be physically perfect."
"And now I am!" replied Hope, as within the blink of an eye, her body changed from that of an ordinary human being to a perfect 12-year-old girl. You couldn't help but be in awe at how powerful and beautiful she really was. Her voice changed too, becoming sweeter and softer, and somehow an extremely strong, very pleasent smell began to fill the room which you simply couldn't get enough of.

You smiled broadly, fell to your knees, and bowed before the omnipotent girl. "You really are amazing, my goddess!" you exclaimed.
"You really think this is all I'm going to do?" she asked, raising your head with her amazingly soft hands so that you were looking directly into her beautiful gleaming eyes.
You were speechless.

"You haven't seen anything yet..." she giggled, knowing that this was the least of what she was capable of.

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. Hope spends more time with you

*Noteb*
2. Hope shows her powers to her friends

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
