Since the basket full of Megan's clean laundry was the first thing he saw, Mike decided to try fusing himself with it. First, he selected himself as the first target, then the basket. A blinding white light consumed Mike's vision and he felt a change overcoming him. When he came back to his senses, Mike realized that the remote had in fact worked, but what had happened?
