I take a moment to slow my beating heart before answering as calmly as I can muster. " I'm home in one piece dad, thanks." we talk about how school was today then right before we get off he tells me to do my homework and get my chores done before he gets home. I hang up and groan, maybe the limo wasn't such a bad idea after all.
The next morning I open my bed room door so I can go take a shower before school when someone grabs me from behind and pulls me back in and shuts the door. My attacker shoves me against the wall and keeps me pinned.the only light is coming from the street lights and the bright crescent moon, so I can't tell who my attacker is but he seems to know me. I stop struggling to escape when his strong raspy voice paralyzes me. " moon child, why did you turn down my gift to you yesterday?" Gift? Instantly the limo pops up in my head. " that was from you? Who are you and why are you sending limos to me?!" the man chuckles and presses me harder into the wall. " My name is unimportant, Moon Child but you will know me soon enough. yes it was to bring you safely me but since you declined, I will bring you with me personally." I feel like if I don't object right now he will take me away so I shout. " STOP! You can't take me!" the man tilts his head slightly curious. " and why not?" I glance around my room trying to think of a reason. " because... Because I ..."
