Shadow had been alone for a long time, residing in a disclosed location not too far from civilization. His only rival of loneliness being Knuckles The Echidna for his life long devotion of guarding the Master Emerald.
Shadow, like all animals, was in need of intimate affection. He was horny. & he did not have the social romantic skills to actually talk to a woman, with his self imposed isolation on his private location: A remote island that was off shore near the big city escape where him & sonic had first met. He wondered..........pondered on a small thing that separated him & Sonic: "Sonic is always around his.........friends........." Shadow said, an aura of sadness, jealousy, & bitterness surrounding his tone. "That girl........Amy........is always wanting to be with him............& he just disregards her." He frowned his face. "How can I get that sort of affection from a woman?" Shadow got up from his seat & walked to the window pane that showed the waters that separated him from City Escape.
