"So, 'big boy', how was the party?" Paula asked. Simon rolls his eyes. "It was... different." he responds. Paula continues to question "You meet anyone girlfriend material?" "I'm not sure. It's kind of hard to learn stuff about people when they're drunk out of their minds." Simon sighs.
After walking along for a while, talking about their respective schedules, they eventually make it to a crosswalk. Stopping and waiting for traffic, Simon notices that Paula hasn't touched her coffee in a while. "You don't want that or something?" Simon asks. Paula, looks at her coffee, and shakes her head. "It's got some weird taste to it." she explains, "I kinda completely put me off drinking it." Simon takes the coffee from her. "Well, I'd be a terrible thing to waste caffeine." and taking off the lid, downed the entire coffee in a few gulps. Simon starts to cough. "Wow 'big boy', slow the hell down." Simon's coughing fit eventually ends, and he gasps for air. "Some of it went... down the wrong pipe." he explains between breaths. "And yeah... I see what you mean... about it tasting funny." he scrapped the top of his tongue against his teeth as the light turned and they crossed.
