"You make things so frustrating sometimes," said Mom angrily. "Sometimes I wish you acted more like me."
Bill suddenly found himself with his hands on his hips in a strange pose more suitable for his mom than for him.
"Actually, what's so frustrating," Bill suddenly barked back at his mom, in a scolding tone of voice. "Is that you are so irresponsible and didn't give me this backpack earlier, young lady. And realistically, it's your fault that I haven't been properly taught any responsibility up to this point. You heard me! Young lady, you have been quite a disappointment and it's high time you shape up and start setting a better example for my sister and I."
Bill's mom hung her head shamefully.
"Ummm, I'm like sorry and stuff," she said, unable to look her son in the eye. "I'll do better..."
"You just see to it that you do a better job in the future," said Bill, wagging a finger in his mother's face. "Now let's get going. We can't be late."
