Chapter #7

The doctor is able to see you right away

    by: Runner Author IconMail Icon
Mom was able to get an appointment, and within an hour, you was at the doctor's office. You've been going to the same doctor, Jennifer Taylor, for years, but today was the first time in years that mom actually came in with you, something that made you feel very uncomfortable, and surprised Jennifer. "Thanks for coming to see Jazz" mom said to the surprised doctor.

"What's wrong? You haven't been in here with Jazz since he as 12" Jennifer said.

"Have you heard about that genetics lab?" mom asked.

"I have, Rebecca. Believed they allowed a field trip to try and get more students interested in the sciences since they're supposedly trying out radically new procedures" Jennifer said.

"That's right. Except there was an accident and something spilt onto Jazz. Supposed to make him younger" mom said.

"Mom. All that happened to me was me blacking out during sport. I probably have the flu or something" you said. The only thing you wanted was for everyone to get off your back.

"I would take it more seriously. Could you get on the scales, Jasper?" Jennifer asked. You turned to mom, since you preferred some privacy. She got up somewhat reluctantly, and headed out the door. Once alone with the doctor, you got on the scales, and received a massive shock. You're 30 pounds lighter, something Jennifer picked up on, since you had a physical four months earlier.

"I'm 130 pounds?" you stammered. "How? I'm not any thinner."

"I don't know. It may explain your blackouts. Can you stand against the wall?"

"What? you think I'm smaller?" you demanded, but you stood against the wall. Jennifer measured your height and frowned. 'What is it?"

"Jasper, you've lost about half an inch" Jennifer said, as she took out several needles.

"What are you doing?"

"I need blood samples" she said as she stuck a needle into your arm. "You haven't eaten or drunk anything recently?"

"No. I probably had my shoes on last time" you protested as she pulled the needle out of your arm.

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. You change slightly in the doctor's office

2. back at home, waiting for the results

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
