The forest

You walk through the forest, hunger forcing you to scavenge. You look for anything to eat to dull the growing hunger, but find nothing edible. Your stomach cramps, making you hunch over in pain; you look up to see a bush full of dripping berries. You pluck a berry, and carefully ingest it. The flavor is sweet & bitter, almost like coffee cake. You start to eat berry after berry, unaware of watchful eyes in the canopy. Just when you believe you're safe, a female neko drops down on top of you. By the smile on her face, she has plans...
