Lauren locked eyes with Amanda, who immediately recoiled but held her ground. Lauren didn't have to think about it too long, she hadn't hung out with Shannon in a long time and this would give her an excuse to get together more often. With a smile Lauren pointed up the gun and a blue ray erupted from the tip, engulfing Amanda. The rest of the Falcons backed away from the shrinking girl.
From her perspective on the ground, everyone looked like a giant to Amanda now. Lucy was the closest to her and compared to her new size, Lucy's foot was the size of a monster truck. But it wasn't until Lauren's head blocked out the sun that she began to feel scared.
Lauren leaned down, her face taking up Amanda's entire field of vision and then some. "That's crazy! And I just get to keep her?" Lauren asked.
"That's right, she's all yours. Just treat her better than you used to treat your goldfish." Shannon said with a laugh to Lauren.
Amanda looked up to see her now giant teammates, they were talking but they were so far away that she couldn't hear them. "Girls! Challenge them to Double or Nothing! You can get me and Melissa back!" Amanda tried to shout up to them, but they couldn't hear her. Lauren heard her however and she looked at Amanda with something close to pity.
"Finally..." Lucy exclaimed with a sigh. "I was so sick of her vendetta against Shannon." Amanda heard Lucy as she was brought closer to face level in Lauren's hand.
"Maybe we can break our losing streak with a new member?" Helena suggested. "I have some other friends at the gym who might be interested in joining the team."
Amanda fell to her knees in shock, she curled up in the fetal position in Lauren's hand as she watched helpless as her former teammates walked off discussing who to add to their team.
"Oh wow, you already broke her? What did you do, I wasn't watching."
"I didn't do anything, her team just gave her up." Lauren said with a shrug.
"Well, at least you and your sister can be together again. So long as me and Lauren say it's okay." Shannon said with a sneer and a spit. Coating the tiny Amanda in a puddle of gooey saliva.
Lauren plucked her out and washed her hand off, she looked back at Sharon.
