Chapter #6Simon finds a Genie by: milkbaby   Simon takes the box into the living room and opens it. Inside, he found what appeared to be an antique bottle of some kind. Taking it out, he first thought it was his roommate's idea for a joke. Kim was in her bedroom at the moment and he was tempted to ask her if this belonged to her.
Simon inspects the bottle further, unscrewing the stopper to see if anything was inside, when smoke starts spewing out of the top. "What the hell??" Simon exclaims, dropping the bottle as the room become more and more obscured. He watched, terrified at first, as a person of some kind began to appear before him. A head escaped the bottle, wearing a turban of some kind. Next, arms and a torso became visible. Simon had no idea what was going on and he was thinking about running away before whatever this thing was realized he was there.
As if able to read his thoughts, the being said in a commanding voice: "Do not run, Master. I have been imprisoned in my vessel for over 500 years. I am a Genie." The smoke was starting to dissipate and Simon found himself able to calm down a little, though still shaking. "Do not be afraid. I have been helping mortals such as yourself for many thousands of years. I am not going to harm you."
"What do you want?" Simon asked, still a little wary.
"My only wish is to help you. In any way you can imagine. I must tell you that, contrary to many stories you have undoubtedly been told over the years, Genies such as myself aren't limited to only 3 wishes per person. You get as many as you like. They are unlimited. Also, I cannot kill someone for you, nor can I make someone fall in love with you."
"Really? Unlimited wishes?" Simon replied, sounding skeptical. "What's the catch?"
"The only thing I ask in return, Master, is that my identity remain a secret. I work best when I remain anonymous, when people aren't aware of my presence. Which is why I would advise you to spend your first wish to keep me invisible to everyone but you. The fewer mortals that know about me, the better."
"Oh, okay. Um... I wish no one except myself can see you."
"Very good, Master," the Genie replied, clapping his hands. "Now, on to the more important stuff. What can I do to improve your life? Just name it, Master, and it will be done!"  | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
