Riptide picks you out of his neck fur and places you down on the bench. All of a sudden your surround by several muzzles, noses, and eyes that are looking at you intently. " Wow" " cool" Who"s this little guy?" Your knocked onto your knees with the sudden attention and all the muzzles and the questions being thrown at you. " Easy give him some air guys don't smother him!" Riptide barks out to his team mates. They pull back giving you a chance to catch you breath. " Now guys this is ____ ( Your Name of Choice here) Go easy on him he's only gotten used to me and Blaze right now don't overwhelm him." You get a chance to catch your breath and look up to see who Riptide's friends and team mates are. You notice only about eight canines are looking down at you. While the others our already on he field stretching and getting ready for practice. There are two american akitas, two Timber wolves, an Alaskan husky, a border collie and two Alaskan malamutes. one of the malamutes is putting what looks like catcher's equipment on and you notice how strong he is. You guess a big strong breed must be a catcher due to the punishment that position dishes out.
Riptide introduces the group of canines your encircled by. "The two Akitas are Reeces and Oreo due to their mix of white/ brown and white/ black fur, also they play first and third base." " Hello it's nice to meet you little dude!!" The two akitas say giving you a friendly lick. "The border collie is named Scott because he's from Scotland, also he plays center field" "Hello laddie you've been keeping a eye on our captain have you now?!" He offers you a paw to shake you grab a finger and shake it. "The two malamutes are Kodi and Koji they play Right field and Catcher" " Nice to meet you dude." They offer their paws in a fist bump manner which you comply. "The two wolves are Jeff and Matt they our shortstop and our left fielder." The two wolves lean in and sniff you a few times then they both give you warm licks. " It's nice to meet a little creature that shares the same joy in the sport we love." Jeff howls. Lastly the husky in our group here is our closing pitcher Trent. " Nice to meet you" he says while nuzzling you with his muzzle. you take this moment to pet him which results in his tail wagging and him panting happily.
" OK boy's now that introductions are done why don't you guys get ready to stretch then work on fielding and pick offs." Blaze shouts to the canines You are picked up by blaze and sit in between his collar and fur. If you thought Riptide's fur was thick and soft Blaze's was like being in a forest of pillows by how thick and comfy it is. "There a good bunch of pups." you say to him. " Yep they have been good players on and off the field and they look after each other." " Who's the starting pitcher?" you ask. " That's Travis he's a coyote who has a good sinker, curve ball, and a screwball." " How come he didn't say hi like the others?" " Oh he's very shy don't worry about it though he's sure to come around to you." After the pups finish stretching and loosening up they take up defensive positions. You look out and see that there is at least nine other canines that you haven't meet yet and they equally excited to be playing.
Blaze grabs a bat and walks up to the plate and starts to hit grounders to the infielders while you look and you see two large canines the same size as blaze. A Dingo and a Alaskan husky they must be other coaches of the team you think to yourself. Your assumption is correct when you see them wave to Blaze and come over to their friend. Where they introduce themselves to you as Kirby and Rob. Soon practice begins and the pups show off their skills.
You are amazed at how they play and wonder how they would fair in a game...
