Edna ran towards her house with tears in her eyes avoiding people while Ruthie barely kept up as soon as she got to her house Edna opened the door with such force that it startled her mother Laura and her brother George who had pretended be sick to stay home Edna Laura's mother came out of the kitchen to see her daughter
"Edna what..."
"LEAVE ME ALONE" yelled edna as she ran to the basement not bothering to close the basement door just 12 minutes later Ruthie arrived panting and obviously tired however that was put aside when they heard the sounds of things breaking in the basement along the way. which Ruthie went to him ignoring Edna's mother and brother who decided to follow Ruthie closing the door that closed automatically
In the basement 12 minutes ago...
Edna put the gun on the table and quickly took her tools without thinking she opened the gun checking the mechanisms of the gun which were perfectly fine she checked the core which was in perfect condition. Edna had created this core with a special energy that she had discovered she had called primary energy she had managed to air it into a ball of lead however it had taken her several tries as the energy had different effects each time she created a bit of it from making the things will teleport, change their matter, go into zero gravity, create lightning, fire, open portals and even once a bit of the energy had created anti matter and other very interesting effects of course Edna thought of using those energies for her revenge but they were very unstable remembering how she accidentally almost lost her hand with the teleportation energy of course she had also isolated them in lead balls and these in turn had been kept in a safe designed by her that was in a corner of Of course, the room was not closed, since it was the only one that entered the basement, it was her sanctuary, and she had also closed the room. radura of the same only opened with its key which always kept with itself.
After checking the gun for a few more seconds, Edna hung her head in defeat and said
"Of all the moments that there were for this to happen and it had to be specifically in that..."
Edna remembered every mockery and cruel play that heather and her friends had done to her, every humiliation, every memory made Edna more upset and the tears accumulated in her eyes, but the one that spilled the drop was the one from just a few minutes after so much effort would finally have her deserved revenge and what happened her stupid gun broke down, she humiliated herself in front of the whole school with Heather fucking mills in the front row and she was sure that everyone especially SHE would bother her for what was left of the school everyone would believe that this crazy and basically would be the make me laugh.
"ROAHHHHHHHHHH" Edna yelled out of pure rage as she threw her tools out of pure rage against a mirror breaking it
"BECAUSE THE WORLD IS UNFAIR I DESERVE MY VENGEANCE, I DESERVE RETRIBUTION BECAUSE SOMETHING CAN'T GO RIGHT FOR ONCE IN MY DAMN LIFE HEATHER MILLS IS A BITCH BECAUSE SHE HAS TO GET AWAY WITH HER" Edna screamed as she cried with anger and sadness while breaking several things
Just at that moment Ruthie appeared looking at Edna in a way that she had never seen her following behind her Laura and Ralph who were shocked to see Edna that way
"EDNA" Ruthie yelled seeing her friend out of control to which Edna stopped her streak of destruction and looked at Ruthie
"What are you doing..."
"Nothing Ruthie I'm just here celebrating my BIG DAMN FAILURE" Edna said as she smiled with anger, sadness and fury
"Edna is fine I think we can..."
"NO RUTHIE WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND IT'S THE END OF ME EVERYONE IN SCHOOL THINK I'M A CRACKY WHORE THEY WILL BOTHER ME UNTIL THE END OF SCHOOL AND REMEMBER ME THAT WAY AFTER WE GRADUATE MY REPUTATION IS FUCKED AND THE FUNNIEST THING IS IT DIDN'T HEATHER WHO DESTROYED HER BUT ME MYSELF NOW HEATHER WILL NEVER STOP SHE WILL TORMENT ME WITH THIS EVERY DAY WITHOUT FAIL"
"Edna calm down" Laura said trying to calm her daughter
"I WILL NOT CALM DOWN, I'M SICK OF PEOPLE HURT ME AND GETTING AWAY WITH ME PAPA, HEATHER FUCKING MILLS AND MANY OTHERS"
Edna took the gun and looked at it with anger, sadness and said with a calm voice but full of fury and bitterness
"I just wanted to make my world fairer, that for once something went right for me... that Heather would pay once and for all"
Edna tightened her grip on the gun.
"But not like always the world is against me and it made me humiliate myself in the worst way imaginable"
Edna glared at the gun angrily and threw it hard on the ground as she screamed but surprisingly it didn't break.
Ruthie, Laura and Ralph looked at Edna with pity as she cried to which Laura tried to comfort her.
"Okay Edna there must be a way the school will forget it they always do"
"They won't do it this time it's my end I'll be the one to make me laugh for the rest of my life" Edna said as she rubbed her eyes trying to wipe away her tears
"Maybe we could change you or..."
Just before Laura finished her sentence, the barrel of the gun made a sound.
beep
"It can't be" Edna said as she took the gun and pointed it at another stack of comics to her surprise and that of the other three present the gun fired and made the comics disappear like the stack from the night before
"It works, it works yes thank you, thank you unknown force for allowing me to have my revenge" Edna looked at Ruthie happily and at the same time she was still in shock at what she had seen with her mother and brother.
"Come on Ruthie let's go back to school it's time for..." before he could say "Revenge" the gun started making the same sound only this time in greater succession
Beep, Beep, Beep
"Huh"
Beep, Beep, Beep
Edna looked at the gun confused she didn't know what was happening but when she looked at the ground and saw a part of the gun that was none other than the power regulator she knew with horror what was happening
"It's overloading it's going to... explode" she said with fear
Laura, Ruthie and Ralph will listen as the beep gets louder than the same as a bomb would.
"How big will the explosion be?" Ruthie asked fearfully.
"It will not be as big as a firework but the energy it will release is the problem. I don't know what will happen if it is released in a massive amount."
"You don't have something to stabilize it on"
"Nope"
Edna looked around her room thinking about building a stabilizer quickly but realized that in her rage she had destroyed all her equipment.
"We have to get out of here" Edna said as she left the gun on the floor and everyone went to the door that to the surprise of Euthi, Ralph and Laura did not open
"Don't worry, I have the key here" Edna said calmly as she inserted the key, she knew that it would not open since she had made the door lock close as soon as it was closed and that it could only be opened with a key from inside or outside of it, however to the surprisebh terror of the four there was a sound of a 'Crak' and they saw how the key was broken in half
"What happened?" Ralph said.
"The mechanism... failure broke the key"
The four looked at each other scared and quickly began to knock on the door trying to knock it down, however it was useless and the beep of the gun became more constant finally the 4 decided to return to see if they could stop the gun that was now a bomb they thought for several minutes In which the beep became more constant knowing that it was seconds away from it exploding until Ralph unexpectedly ran to the gun and quickly put it in a box in the corner of the room that he quickly closed.
Edna was shocked
"Ralph what have you done" Edna said as she looked blankly at her brother
"Save us, Duh" replied nonchalantly his younger brother
"Ralph,"
"Yes"
"In that box there were unstable cores just as dangerous as the one that is overloading the weapon" Edna said through clenched teeth.
The three of them watched as the box began to shake and inflate as the beep reached its final countdown.
Ralph looked at his sister, his mother and Ruthie and could only say something
"Oh,oh"
beep
"RALPH, DAMN IDI-" was the last thing Edna tried to say before all the cores exploded releasing the energies
