Ted nods sincerely. "Sure. Don't take this the wrong way but I think you can pull it off. It's a full-body suit, plus there's a mask and goggles. Nobody will know it's you under it - the only important thing is that you're slim enough to fit inside it."
"Aren't you forgetting something?" Alex states, jabbing his finger at Selina Kyles breasts and buttocks.
Ted chuckles. "Alex, there isn't a woman alive who matches up to comic book proportions. You think Linda filled out those costumes all by herself? The costumes are foam padded and she wears a push-up bra underneath. Don't tell anyone, but she's barely even a B-cup. So are you in?"
Of course he isn't in. Except...
"And there's a permanent position in it for me if I do this?" Alex says carefully.
"I said I'd consider it."
"No, I want a guarantee. If I do this, I get a permanent contract. Deal?"
Ted shrugs. "Fine. You win. Now come on, let's get you suited up."
The back of the shop is a densely packed, shelved area filled with stacks of boxed comics with just enough room for two people to stand uncomfortably close. Ted uncovers a full-length mirror from behind a life-size cardboard cutout of James McAvoy from X-Men: First Class, and pulls a box from one of the shelves. The oiled rubber catsuit squeaks and creaks as it is pulled from its box and held up against Alex's figure. "A little tight perhaps but I doubt you'll get any complaints," Ted winks. "Okay, take your clothes off."
Alex gulps. Is it too late to back out now? Hesitantly he tugs his shirt over his head and kicks off his trousers, revealing his scrawny build. Ted nods approvingly...
