“I saw a wizard’s tower not too far back,” Garrett responded. “We can see if he knows anything.”
“Isn’t it risky going to an unknown spellcaster?” Albert asked.
“Trusting a stranger is always a risk. If they are good they might be of some help and if they are evil we get the chance to smite it.”
It was an optimistic attitude but Albert had his doubts about this. His master seemed determined and the would back her play into the abyss because she had always been there for him. She had saved his family when they were on the verge of losing everything to debt collectors and given him a path to redeem his family.
The tower was crafted of freshly polished stone and the door even smelled of fresh paint. As they reached the door it jerked open. A young maid stepped out to greet them in an outfit that was far from proper.
“My master welcomes all customers to his tower,” Her curtesy revealed a pair of panties embroidered with a rose. “I am Bunny. Feel free to perform any service you may desire.”
Garrett shoved Albert’s tongue back into his mouth with a shake of the head, “I have had magic performed upon me and I wish to have it removed.”
“Most distressing,” she nodded rapidly giving her ample cleavage a good wobble. She escorted them inside before sauntering off to get her master.
“This is hardly promising,” Garrett commented.
“I do believe you have chosen the right word,” the paladin elbowed Albert who smiled.
A man appeared in a wizard’s robes, perhaps teenage boy would have been a better description. He had a younger look than even Albert and looked awkward in his movements.
“Don’t worry about my appearance. My assistant made a slight miscalculation with a regression potion,” the man explained. “I am Elwin the Magnificent at your service. Come with me, I have just the thing for you.”
They entered a room with shelves of potions of various sizes and shapes. A few tables had things bubbling and churning as their host went round and round the room looking for what he needed.
