The fighter was never one to give up even when hope was low so when the dawn arrived she continued her journey down the road, one direction had been as good as another when you didn’t know where you were. She froze as she came to a rise and saw a small village a short distance away. A small wooden fence circled the place and she could see the outlying farms encircling it. Karas walked down to it looking for someone to try and communicate with but she was afraid of what would happen to her, how would they react when a cow proved to be more than a simple animal.
Farmers were very cautious by nature, there was so much to be afraid of in life for them that taking chances on magical animals wasn’t likely. Deciding to take the chance she started to walk down to the village, she didn’t want to live the life of a cow when there was a chance she could be human again. Suddenly her body started to shudder, she fought against it and managed to lay down on the grass before she crashed.
Her face shrank, suddenly her colors became clear to her again as her eyes shifted to the front, it appeared the shaman hadn’t managed to cast a permanent transformation. Cow hooves split into hands and she rubbed them against the grass enjoying the sensitivity, she pulled herself undercover as the villagers might not understand a cow transforming into a human. Karas hoped that she would have her manhood return to her but that had been different magic and the growing swells on her chest were very unmasculine.
She coughed up some grass as her stomach rumble, unsettled by the diet she had as a cow. The sun felt great on her skin as she headed to the village. Karas smiled as she headed in thinking of the reactions she would draw as she walked in naked. The dirt road hurt her soft feet with tiny pebbles which made her want to head towards the closest farm she saw but it looked like it was abandoned.
The roof had holes in it and the front door was completely missing, still, someone might have left some clothing or blankets behind. She shoved the gate open deciding a partially clothed woman would cause less of a stir than a naked woman. The fighter grabbed a solid piece of wood before she entered the structure, just because humans had left this place it didn’t mean new nasty residents hadn’t made a home for themselves.
Karas was glad for the holes in the roof because they let in a lot of light to the building. She could see that many of the floorboards had rotted with time but she could see some things that she could make
use of, a short sword was in usable condition and a dust-covered blanket lay over the bed in the corner.
