Seras had always liked who she was, playing dress up was fun and all but she was most comfortable in her own skin. Dropping the guise of Temperance made her feel safer especially because she had about five dozen weapons on her body. She could hear the shouting as friends of the men she had killed discovered their bodies. It wouldn’t be right for them to make death’s journey alone she smiles as she slipped out into the hallway with two crossbows in hand. The deadly bolts flew into the shocked bodies of the pirates sending them writhing in death throes on the ground.
She slammed the door shut behind her and placed an explosive rune on the floor for the rush of people coming to find her. The thief ran to the window and slid it open and jumped into the empty sky towards the pirate ship. It was a nice breeze as she fell through the air sending a grappling hook out to grab hold of the nearly empty ship. Pirates liked to look at loot after a score and it was hard to have even a skeleton crew remain behind to guard a ship, she knew from experience.
The problem would come when she came across the second in command who was sure to be very dangerous. Captains liked to leave their most trusted person on board the ship who was usually very competent, usually with a blade. She climbed the rope with ease and snuck up behind the man guarding the ropes and slit his throat and dropped him overboard. Moving quickly was essential as she cut the boat free and raced for the helm of the ship. If she could steer the vessel away from the luxury vessel she would have a chance.
A large lizardman in leather armor hissed at her as she approached the wheel drawing two very large swords. Seras didn’t know if this was the second in command or not but it was certainly a hinderance to her plans to take the ship from the pirates. A loud explosion told her the people on the yacht had discovered her little surprise and it would be several minutes before they realized she was no longer aboard the ship so finishing this off quickly would help her a lot but she didn’t think the warrior was going to assist her with that.
