“Might as well try both, see if I can swap with two people at once.” He willed the swap to happen, and an instant later, he was sitting where Melanie was a moment ago, next to Amy, who was now a boy. Looking down, he saw he was now a girl, wearing Melanie’s clothes. He also noticed Melanie, with her normal body but with shorter hair and different clothes that didn’t belong to any of them, was standing where he was a moment ago.
“Whoa, it worked, we swapped sexes!” Amy said, examining her new body.
“What do you mean, Ani? Your swap clearly didn’t work because you were always a boy.” Melanie said. “But mine did, because I’m wearing Eve’s clothes now.”
“What are you talking about Mel? You’re still wearing your own clothes, despite being a girl now, even though my clothes changed. And did you just call me Ani?” Amy, or ‘Ani’ asked.
“Uh, yeah. Your name is Anakin, remember?” Melanie, or ‘Mel’ said.
“Anakin? Swapping sexes with you caused me to be named after Anakin Skywalker?” Ani asked, excited.
“Me? You swapped sexes with Eve.” Mel replied. “Or tried to anyway.”
“I think I see what’s going on here.”
Both former sisters looked at Eve. “What do you mean Eve?”
“I mean I’m the one you both swapped with. Mel’s name is actually Melanie, and she was already a girl. She swapped lives with me and ‘Ani’s’ name is actually Amy, but it was changed by swapping sexes. Amy, since you weren’t part of my swap with your sister, you didn’t realize we swapped, so you thought she was me, meaning you thought she was a boy, but she wasn’t. I was. And she didn’t realize we swapped sexes, so she thinks you were always a boy and I was always a girl, so she thinks she became her brother’s girlfriend.” Eve explained.
“Wait, so you were my brother?” Ani asked.
“No, I was your boyfriend, Melanie, or as you remember her, Mel, was originally your sister. Now she’s your girlfriend, and I’m your sister, while you’re my new brother.” Eve explained again.
“So you were my brother’s boyfriend?” Mel asked.
“No.” Eve sighed. “Your brother was your sister, and I was her boyfriend.”
“This is so confusing.” Both Ani and Mel said.
“No kidding. I had no idea it would alter both your memories in different ways.” Eve agreed.
“So what now?” Mel asked.

Option 1: Ani accidentally kissed Mel, despite knowing Mel was his sister. He can’t help but love her because he only remembers her as his boyfriend.
Option 2: Mel accidentally kissed Ani, despite knowing Ani was her sister. She can’t help but love him because of her new relationship with him even though she only remembers him as her brother.
Option 3: Mel leaves to explore her new life as Mel Wilson, and Ani and Eve spend the night together   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
