It was just a silly dream. That is the way it seemed to Mike as he got ready for school but it did seem very real- and very strange. There was this exotic looking woman who called herself a Goddess. She wasn't even that good looking but she did have intensity and Mike couldn't help but wonder if it could possibly be true. As he remembered, she told him that he had the power to take one pound of muscle from everyone within one hundred feet. He considered the possibilities. All he would have to do is go to a public place and take muscle from everyone within 100 feet. That could be a lot of muscle. It wouldn't matter much to everyone. Who would miss one pound of muscle. But on the other hand, if there were 100 people, Mike would end up with 100 pounds of muscle. He'd like to be stronger but adding 100 pounds of muscle to his skinny 130 pound body would be a radical change. He wasn't ready for that.
Finally Mike decided that he would try it at soccer practice. There were only 15 kids on the team. Fifteen pounds would be good and nobody would be the wiser. Then again maybe he should do it someplace else- like maybe the school bus. There were usually only ten kids on the bus. Maybe that was better. Of course it might now work at all but you never know until you try.
