Mousse, more like mouse

If he had bothered to listen to the elder woman Mousse wouldn't be in the situation he stepped in like a rain-filled pothole, right up to the knee. The hidden weapons user had come up with the brilliant idea of sneaking into the old ghoul's room while the matriarch was preoccupied with other matters which had taken her out of the Café for the day. With Shampoo busy carrying out the last deliveries for the night, Mousse had ample time to rummage through the collection of items that had come with them from the village.

His goal was to find something that would give him an edge against Ranma so that he may defeat the boy and prove himself to be the superior man. There were numerous little trinkets and baubles that could give him a definitive advantage, he just needed to find the right one. Carefully, and with the help of a catalogue of notes Cologne had put together, Mousse sorted through what would and wouldn't be of any use.

Time was running out, and he knew that any minute now Shampoo would return from her final run and catch him red handed before he could find a useful tool for his purposes. This impatience and crunch time made a poor coupling with his own terrible eyesight and because of this he failed to properly read the passage a particular on the item that he now held, a little vial that contained an aquamarine liquid.

"This will be what finally brings me victory!" he whispered to himself and held the vial before him in triumph. "Once I drink this, I shall gain the strength of a hundred-fold warriors and finally defeat Ranma and make Shampoo mine!"

Mousse downed the liquid in one big gulp, emptying the vial of its contents in seconds before dropping it to the ground. This was when he learned of his disastrous mistake. Had he slowed down and bothered to properly read the catalogue of notes, he would have noticed that he had skipped over a passage before coming to the strength potion, which was a bright teal and near identical in appearance with the one he had swallowed. The shrink potion soon worked its magic on him, and within a minute Mousse was standing in a pile of his own clothing at six inches tall.

"No! No! No!" he cried as he tried to climb out of the heap of clothe he had become stuck beneath. He pulled himself out of it and ran back to the notes he had dropped in during his sudden change, which had landed beside the against the bottom shelf of Cologne's cache of heirlooms and trinkets. He very nearly made it back to it when something else through a wrench in his plans. It was...
