The Tomb of Ymir, believed to be the final resting place of the father of the Jötunn of Norse Mythology, as well as the location of the ring, Andvaranaut. A legendary ring said to help the wearer locate sources of gold and hidden their by the god Loki after its recovery from the hoard of the dragon, Fafnir. An object such as this would be the dream accessory of anyone who sought fortune, and was decided by a certain group to be the perfect gift to give Scrooge McDuck for a birthday present. Webby Vanderquack, Lena Sabrewing, and Violet Sabrewing, accompanied by the more experienced Della Duck, journeyed long and far to find it after finding mention of it in a damaged book from Scrooge's expansive library. It had been years since the final showdown against the head of F.O.W.L. and Webby was now in high school and wanted to give the perfect gift for her biological father. They would learn the hard way the reason the richest duck on Earth never went to collect such a treasure.

They had made it to the last leg of their journey before they ran across a bitter old foe. One with far more knowledge about the ring and its origins, and intended to use it in a far more sinister purpose. Magica De Spell, a mistress of many wicked magics, had tracked down the ring as well, though she was working with a far more complete volume of the same tome. In the completed volume one would learn not only of the rings gold seeking ability, but that the object carried a curse born from the rage and ire of Andvari, from whom the ring was stolen by the trickster god. A curse of ill fortune and destruction that would doom any individual who possessed it. She hoped to harness the malice within it to bring about Scrooge's downfall and avenge herself upon his family.

Within the bowels of the Tomb, the two treasure seekers met and engaged each other in a battle for the ring. They battled across a decayed rope bridge above a lake of strange liquid in which a massive skull could be seen, once the head of the father of giants. Lena did her best to counter her magical aunt, but it would be neither who would win the day. Rather, it was the curse of the dwarf Andvari that would be victorious, as even its mere presence brought about misfortune to those gathered within the cavernous tomb.

"I won't let you have the ring, Aunt Magica!" Lena cried as she unleashed a bolt of magic at the long lived sorceress.

"You have no choice in the matter, dear! Now surrender and give the ring to me!" Deflecting the blast away from herself, Magica counter-attacked with a barrage of shadow tendrils that would have taken her niece down if not for Webby's timely intervention, pulling her friend to safety with a lasso. Behind them, Della and Violet were battling the shadow familiars the witch had summoned to aid her in the fight.

The battle above the underground lake reached its peek as both sides unleashed powerful attacks which shook the already rotted bridge until one of the lines finally snapped, and all present were sent tumbling into the waters below. Waters that had in them the diluted life blood of Ymir, which would change those who entered them into one of his kin and grant them all that entailed.

Webby sighed, her looking down her long legs to the triplets at her feet, who were busy arguing over who would get to have her on their team for the next excursion. It had been three months since her fall in the Tomb of Ymir, and McDuck mansion had finally been outfitted to properly house multiple persons of her size. With the vast estate and resources of her parental figure, all four who had gone on their adventure were able to live comfortably. It had taken a month for them to get over the shock of their new size, but now Webby, her friends, and Della had come to accept, and even enjoy, their new height. At 100 feet tall, they were useful in more ways than one on the family adventures. The only downside was the stress their much larger bodies put on the finances due to the amount of food they all consumed.

In a mire protected by her most powerful warding spells, Magica grumbled and cursed to herself as she fished out as much of the local fauna as she could to sate her appetite. When the change had first happened she was quick to see the advantages of being a giantess, but after being forced back by the combined force of McDuck's friends and family it became apparent the downsides of her size. Every day had become a struggle to find enough food to fill her titanic stomach, and she had to constantly move since she stripped any place she settled of food before long. This swampy place would feed her for a while longer, but she needed a more permanent solution to this problem. Slurping down another live gator as if it was spaghetti, the duck sorceress ran through the options once more in her mind.

'I just need a means of providing energy to my body. If I could find a magical power source large enough, I could convert it to sustenance for my gigantic form and be free of this bane.'

Another poor soul disappeared down her gullet when Magica noticed that her staff, now the size of a toothpick to her, glowed brightly from its place at her feet.

Ranma cursed furiously as he was expunged from the realm between realms and planted face-first into the ground...
