The old pervert had built the place nearly a century ago as somewhere he could hide out and peacefully sort his ill-gotten garments when the heat was on and the authorities were actively searching for him.
One night, while in a drunken stupor, the ancient lech had gone into a rant about the “good old days” when he wasn’t a wrinkled ballsack of a human being. In the midst of his rambling, he mentioned the location of his little hovel, and that it held the scrolls of that contained the biggest secret techniques of Anything Goes. Moves that were truly the peek of the Art, and not just explosives or a ki trick he would occasionally use on his students. Was it any surprise that the two masters that had trained beneath him wanted the secrets within? Of course, neither was willing to risk going into Happosai’s old haunt, and sent the reluctant heir of the Saotome side of the school to retrieve them. Naturally, he was not alone on his mission, with a handful of the normal gang going along with him. Each had their own reason for coming, but they would all leave that place shaken to the core.
So it was that Ranma had been made to fetch the secret scrolls of his school’s teachings. If he did not wish to be bombarded by the constant nagging of both fathers it had to be done. An hour bus ride, followed by a 10-mile hike and he soon stood before the decrepit, rotted husk that had once been a shack. Carefully, he approached the structure thinking that a stong breeze could collapse it in seconds.
The door splintered into pieces after a small shove, filling the inside with swiss-cheesed spots of light. Ranma cleared the entry with a kick and entered once he was sure the roof wasn’t going to fall. The others waited outside, knowing enough about Happosai’s personality that they were weary of the booby traps that were almost certainly there. After a final cursory inspection for any signs of a trap, the heir to Anything Goes stepped through the threshold to start his search, those who joined him were not far behind.
As it turned out, it was a horrible decision on Ranma’s part. There were no traps to be found it turned out, but years of neglect and disrepair had left the floor in such a state that the hidden door that stored Happosai’s treasures disintegrated when weight was placed on it. The pigtailed boy plummeted through it, falling hundreds of feet before he slammed into the chest that held what he sought. It splintered open and spilled its contents everywhere, with one item in particular rolling close to Ranma’s braced hand.
When he had recollected his nerves, and caught his breath, Ranma looked up, and the first thing he saw was the deteriorated remains of a rope ladder that had fallen in the pit long ago. He couldn't tell if one of the others had fallen with him, but the next thing he caught sight of with a look around the cavern was a statue that was over fifty feet tall, and clearly female. Whoever had made such a sculpture he could not say, but it looked so real that he first thought it was an actual giant that he had stumbled upon.
‘A giant woman?!?!!’ he though as he backed up slightly, hand grazing the nearby object.
The artifact had been dormant for years, and thanks to the lack of any sort of care it had become corroded. The many stories of such magical objects would have you believe that anything imbued with such power could not be tarnished by age and that only other magic could damage them. This was true for many, or course, but this particular artifact had been made by a half-assed enchanter who had failed to weave such spellwork into his craft. It was because of this that an object meant to work only with the use of a proper incantation activated upon physical contact and threw Ranma into the vast ocean that was the multiverse. Its only guiding light being the last thing the poor boy thought before being sent on his way. The idea of a giant woman defining its purpose and destination.
With a crackle like static, Ranma vanished from his world.

It was like traveling through an endless fog, with only brief glimpses of potential in the chaos to be seen. Ranma couldn't even tell which way was up, as it felt like it was in every direction at once. The only thing he could say for sure was that it for certain wasn't the old shack he had entered. ![](https://images.Writing.Com/imgs/writing.com/writers/info/interactive-2.png) indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
