The first day of Vidcon was finnally over. It had been more tiring than Ben, or as his fans knew him, CancerTurtle, had first anticipated. His hand was sore from signing autographs, and his throat was sore from yelling and the multitude of voices he'd put on to entertain his fans. Having only a small fanbase, Ben could've sworn hehas met all of his fans in the first day.
He was currently headed to the hotel room currently occupied by one of his friends, Chris, for their annual game of Vidcon poker, as they had dubbed it. It was not, however, any ordinary game of poker. The cards they played with allowed players to swap traits, and have reality be altered to fit, as if things had always been like that. They'd always play one game after the first day, then another before the last, so they could all swap back.
Ben was a little nervous this year. Sure, last time he had ended up attending Vidcon with an almost completely female body, but that wasn't what bothered him. What really worried him was that this year, his girlfriend, Jessica, had been let in on the whole thing, and would be playing alongside the rest of them. Sure, it was her choice, but it didn't stop him from worrying.
As the two of them arrived at Chris's room, Ben knocked on the door, looking down at his shoes. He was wearing the same outfit he wore in most of his videos; a green t-shirt under a black zip-hoodie, unzipped, blue jeans, and white sneakers. He was also wearing what fans had dubbed his signature items; two silver necklaces, one with a turtle shaped pendant, the other with pendant shaped like the symbol for the zodiac sign, Cancer, and a NeoCube, threaded out into a band 6x36 and worn around my left wrist.
Ben's random examining of himself was interrupted when the door he and Jessica were standing infront of opened, revealing Chris's smiling face.
"There you are! You're the last ones here," he said, laughing to himself, "Come on in, then we can start." He headed back to the table where the others were, as Ben led Jessica inside and closed the door behind them. After looking down, and then back up again, Ben had to move some of his shoulder length, dirty-blonde hair back behind his ears. When Jessica first found out about the cards, she asked whether he had gotten his longer-than-average hair through a swap that he decided to keep. That was far from the truth of course; Ben had simply had his hair around shoulder length since high school. They took the two empty seats at the table. As Chris shuffled the cards, Ben took the time to examine the people he'd be playing with tonight.
It was the same group as usual, but Ben couldn't help but notice that even with the addition of his girlfriend, everyone at the table was a Youtuber partner, but they all made different kinds of videos. Ben considered himself a bit of an all rounder, doing let's plays, paridy songs, and vlogs. Despite this variety, he had yet to become popular, and doubted he ever would, but after today, he was content with a small fanbase.
To his right sat Chris, known online as Darth Chipmunk, who's Youtube career consisted mainly of making flash animations that looked like a game, but actually weren't. He had short brown hair, tanned skin, and while he wasn't too bulked up, you could definately see a differance between him and Ben's scrawny frame. He was currently wearing a black t-shirt with a logo from one of his videos on it, white shorts, and black sneakers.
To the right of Chris sat Alice, a.k.a. Rainbow Slash. Her videos consisted mainly of humerous skits, as well as a few videos where she'd answer questions fans had asked. She had long black hair with a few neon pink streaks in it, and was wearing a black jacket over a My Little Pony t-shirt, a black skirt that went just below her knees, and black boots with a small heel. The t-shirt looked out of place with the rest of the outfit, but that was one of the reasons she stood out so much in a crowd.
To her right sat Rachel, known as Snow by both her fans and us. She didn't do much for her own channel aside from recording things in slow motion, but she often appeared in the rest of the group's videos. She has shoulder length hair, dyed to be a silver-ish colour, and rather pale skin. She was wearing a grey hoodie, some tight-fitting jeans, and a pair of black ballet flats.
Snow was sort of staring at the person sitting next to her, Sam. His real name was Sang, but he preferred Sam, and was known online as Chopstick Ninja. He mostly did game reviews, but also let's played a few games like Starcraft. He had spiked black hair, slightly tanned skin, and pretty thin eyes. He was wearing a plaid scarf, a red woolen jumper, black cargo pants, and black sneakers. At least, they looked like sneakers; they were probably actually his heelies, shoes with wheels in the heels. Snow was staring at him because he had his head down on the table, and was supposedly sleeping.
And lastly, sitting on Sam's left and Ben's right was Ben's girlfriend, Jessica, known by both her and her boyfriend's fans as Squishy. She mostly did vlogs, but also appeared a lot in videos made by the rest of the group. She had long blonde hair, and was wearing a blue floral print dress that went just below her knees, and a pair of 2 inch white heels. She also had a bit of make-up on.
Chris got out the cards and said, "Hey Sam! We're starting!" He threw the box at Sam, which woke him up. Ben noticed Sam was wearing his glasses, which he needed in order to read without getting a headache. "So Jess, did Ben explain the rules?" Ben facepalmed.
"I knew I was forgetting something!" Ben said.
Snow smirked at him and said, "Wow, with a memory like that, it's a wonder you even remember to post videos on your channel." Everyone laugh, Ben included, as they all knew he often forgot to record or upload videos.
"OK then," Chris started, "Here's how it works..."
