Joan and Randy had gotten into a yelling fight. Again. Betty had retreated to Joan's room, but Jessica had nowhere to go. If she tried to leave, she would be yelled at. If she stayed, she would be yelled at. Once her Mom got angry, she got brutally honest. Jessica snuck away from the dinner table, and into the bathroom. This is the only place she got privacy. Here, no one could bother her. Jessica sat on the toilet lid, and sighed. She was always so miserable. In fact, everyone was miserable. She looked out the window, staring into the night sky. Jessica wished that she could show her mother how to treat people. But her mother never paid attention to her, and would never actually listen to her. Little did Jessica know that her wish was about to become true.
