Chapter #6

Take the costume and get away

    by: Cardio Author IconMail Icon
"Yeah, thanks for the mermaid costume and the offer but I'm here with my mom and I've got to leave soon so...no I'm not going to take you up on your offer." You thought of yourself as more adventurous than the average 16 year old but the idea of being asked to strip down into a costume in a random strangers house was an absolute no go. You did not want to end up on the evening news. The woman seemed disappointed and just slinked away seemingly out of embarrassment.

You brushed it off as her being a weirdo and grabbed a random bag to put the mermaid stuff in, after all it wasn't something you really want your mom to see or else she'd ask weird questions and make assumptions about you. The truth is the costume looked like it was made of good material and for $50 it looked like a steal. You figured you could sell this thing online for at least 4 times that to the right buyer. But first things first you had to try it. The tail part seemed skin tight and waterproof like the strange salesgirl said but she also said something about letting you breath underwater with it. That of course was ridiculous, it probably had a pocket for an oxygen tank you guessed. But you knew that the only way to know for sure what you were selling and how much it would be worth was to try it out yourself.

You knew the safest place to try it would be your bath tub at home, it would let you test it in the privacy of your own home with no chance of prying eyes, unless Briana was being a mischievous brat and undid the bathroom lock or something. But then again you would like to test swimming out in the mermaid costume and the best place to do that would be your friend Jenny's pool. There was a chance people could see you and that would be embarrassing, but hey, you'd get to spend time with Jenny and for you that was always a plus in your mind.

You have the following choices:

1. Test the suit in the bathtub

*Noteb*
2. Test the suit in Jenny's pool

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
