At long last, the day RJ was looking forward to the most was finally here! He could hardly contain himself through-out the day (the party didn't start until 6 o' clock).
"Alright, am I the first one?" asked Matt (a portly, messy-brown haired boy who was RJ's best friend) as he came in. A sleeping bag in one hand and a wrapped box in the other.
"I guess you are," replied RJ. "Come on, let's go put your stuff in my room!"
As the hour ticked on, more boys arrived, each with their own sleeping bag and gift for RJ.
The second to arrive was Sam. He was also pretty chubby and had short blonde hair. Sam was also known to be a bit of a trouble-maker.
Max was the next show up. He had short curly brown hair, he also loved to skateboard.
Connor and his little brother Anthony came shortly after. They were african-americans with notable differences: Connor was overweight and had short brown hair, while Anthony was rather thin and had his head shaved. Anthony was rather openly jealous of his brother's bulk.
Next was Andrew, who had a noticeable pot-belly, freckles and short black hair. He was often calm and a bit of a math nerd.
A slightly-buff (but still rather slim) bright-red haired boy named Leo came next. Leo likes to work out alot, but like every other kid, he hates vegetables.
The last to arrive was Derek, a massive boy with slightly tanned skin and short black hair. He loved to eat, he'd eat anything that he could get his hands on and often complained about being hungry.
All the boys (including Anthony, who was younger) seemed very large when compared to RJ. Either because they had round guts or they were just simply taller. This of course made his parents irrationally concerned about RJ's health.
Once all eight boys had arrived, the party soon came into full swing. They all set up their sleeping bags in RJ's room, which had been cleared out for the most part for the party, and sat in there telling stories about their summer vacation.
"So then my older sister opened the hamper..." explained Sam. "...my pet mouse ran out and made her scream like crazy!" Many of the boys burst into laughter as they pictured the scenario Sam described.
"Man, girls are SUCH sissies!" chortled Max.
Before the boys could continue, the doorbell rang once again, only this time...
