she finds something strange in subspace.

The subspace highways were a regular menagerie of oddities. As a place where the material world and the human subconscious blended together one never knew what one might find on how it might change you if you let your curiosity get the better of you.
For Ramona Flowers life was grand after much soul-searching and hardship she had finally made peace with a lot of her past issues and was now ready to move on to a better tomorrow. Her high spirits carried her cheerfully for a working day but unfortunately also distracted her as she skated down the subspace highways.
"Oof" Ramona said as she hit the ground having tripped over a mushroom. Getting to her feet Ramona turned and picked up the power up. Mario mushrooms and other gaming paraphernalia weren't to uncommon in subspace but this one was strange. Asides from it's pink color it had a strange sent spicy almost enticing, Ramona's mouth began to water.
