This choice: Improvise a plan involving some ponies available in the classroom. • Go Back...Chapter #5A plan invovling the class ponies! by: GGLan  Being the realistic tutor, Cheerilee knows that she is mainly on her own in the middle of the night. With most other ponies in a state of slumber, she knows that, as a tutor, she must lead by example and not be impolite to the fellow town inhabitants. Luckily, she is also a very creative tutor, willing to consider all possibilities, even controversial ones. It is the reason why the Headpony trusted her so much: she knows her options well and she can implement them well.
As she poured through her previous lesson plans, she came across a rather interesting idea for her new lesson on digestion. Initially, she would put it as the last resort, being concerned about the potential implications it may bring to her young students. But after mulling over the idea, she realised that the students are likely to be old enough to understand what is going on and that she has a number of safeguards to ensure her students and her own safety.
The idea is this. In the secret privacy of the Biology room, two ponies would be involved in the demonstration. One pony will be the predator (who must not eat anything beforehand to reduce the muck) and the other pony will be the prey. The predator will then swallow up the prey pony, who has previously and thoroughly applied an anti-acid potion, just in case protection is needed. The prey pony will also be hooked up to a location sensor and a first-pony camera to give students an interactive perspective of the prey pony as the pony is ingested. In this way, the student ponies can have a more holistic learning style.
Cheerilee also knows that ponies cannot digest each other, particularly because their stomach acids are only strong enough to digest plant matter, not animal fibre. Futhermore, in case things get a little tricky, she has three other potions. The first, a lubricant which makes the swallowing much easier to do. The second, a potion similar to the Syrup of Ipecac, which motivates the ponies to throw up their prey if they are unable to do so. And the third, a potion which forces the prey pony up if the predator chokes on them.
The result: A flawless plan… The ponies involved will not be severely harmed and everypony should be able to continue normally, with the exception of the prey needing to take a shower to clean off the acids… and the pungent smell.
There is only one missing detail: Which ponies will be involved?
As Cheerilee thought intensely over this idea, she finally came to a resolution…
