Chapter #20

Herbology

    by: Yote
Bubbleberry
Bubbleberries react violently with digestive juices to produce large quantities of gas. Acts in small doses as a purgative and to relieve constipation, albeit explosively. With concentrated doses, the volume of gas will cause the consumer to expand and burst like an overinflated balloon unless their physiology is flexible or robust enough to contain it (shapeshifters, Orcs).
A common sight on the streets of Sentral is 'rat-on-a-string'. Fed bubbleberry prior to selling, these balloon animals are much loved by children.

Rueberry
A muscle relaxant. In more concentrated doses, a skeletal relaxant. Makes bodies malleable and stretchy.
A plant that features extensively in shapeshifter creation myths.

Dryad
Tree nymphs.

Hashish
Used medicinally and recreationally. Gives its name to the Hashians, a tribe of humans from the far East infamous for its use.

Blueberry
Stains skin blue.

Felwort/Red weed
A creeping, blood-red plant that originates from the demons' netherworld. Grows explosively and is the first indicator of a nearby netherportal.
Produces a painful salve that stains skin red but effectively treats burns. If eaten, causes fever, hallucinations, and madness.
