First, your family was insanely wealthy. Everything they wanted was at their fingertips. That said, your sister, Jessica and your mom loved to challenge each other to elaborate games and contests. Dad loved these games as well though you were not very keen to them as you usually ended up the butt of the joke. It was not all bad as you were always richly rewarded for your patience and participation.
Last night, Jessica, mom, and dad fell into a debate as to who had the most patience. Dad and Jessica argued that you had the most patience as you often ended up taking the blunt of most of the family's 'friendly' fun and games. Mom argued that she had the most patience as she often had to calm you down after the game was over and you were released from whatever game they decided to play. The bet was on!
"We are going to play a little game, baby Charlie." Giggling at your new nickname, mom said. "You will be talked to and treated just like a two year old baby."
"What!?" Annoyed, you asked. "Why!?"
"To test dad and Jessica's patience." Simply, mom replied. She turned serious. "Your patience has been tested too many times and I am sorry it must be tested again."
"How is treating me like a baby going to test everyone's patience?" Barely calm, you demanded.
"My patience has been tested too many times as well." Ignoring you, mom continued. "I have always been the one asked to calm you down after having to deal with one rough experience after another just for our entertainment."
You glared at mom, your eyes demanding an answer to your question. Mom sighed. "Dad and Jessica need to learn that there are limits to what they can do to someone." Serious, mom said. "In this game, it will be you and I who will be toying with dad and Jessica."
"How?" Curious, you asked.
"Dad had a serum specially made to make you act but not think like a baby for a few days." To your horror, mom replied. "Don't worry, I had it disposed of and replaced it with a harmless drink." A mischievous grin formed onto her face. "Dad thinks you are going to act like a baby. What do you say we turn this prank around on him by making him and Jessica think you really think like a baby?"
After a thought, a mischievous grin formed onto your own face. "Give them a watch what you wish for lesson, is that it?" you asked.
Mom grinned. "Yes. Are you game?"
You giggled. "I'm in."
Mom smiled then took you out of the crib. "Let the games begin."
