The thick sole of the shoe of the sneakers thinned, with the extra material moving to the heel, forming into a thin, high heel, forcing john to almost lose his balance. The Velcro strap that held the shoes closed changed into a buckle strap and moved up, wrapping itself
> around his ankle while the open fabric of the shoe seemed to harden, the red stripes 'bleeding' as it colored both shoes red. The shoes then closed upon themselves, changing to a more feminine shape.

"Good grief!" turning pale, John whispered. "My high tops just changed into platform shoes!"
