A small prickling in their stomachs

"So, you holding up? asked Aaron.

"As much as I can. Sucks that even my sisters were involved" said Josh in reply.

"Yeah, it does. Who knows if anything can be done though" muttered Aaron. Josh nodded as he heard the comment. No one believed anything could be done to save humanity as they knew it. Little did they know that something was in the works to change all of that. They lived in the neighborhood area of northern Denver, and they hadn't heard of much outside the city for a while.

*****2 Weeks Ago*****

"Ready?" asked a tough male voice to a fellow associate. The associate nodded, making sure his protective mask was on tight. This was coming from a small building in Denver. A closed tube was pointing out over the city, holding something back. It was in the dead of night right now.

"Loaded sir. Are you sure this is safe?" he asked. The other male nodded.

"Yes, we have properly tested on one subject and it worked out perfectly. Our study shows that effects should start showing in a couple of weeks. This "product" takes its time working its magic so to speak" said the man.

"Well, all right" said the associate. Other workers nodded and signaled that it was good to go. The associate typed in commands into the computer. As the commands came in, the lid on the can rose.....

*****Present Time*****

"Well, let's get going faster. I'm hungry! I could really go for a cheeseburger with some relish on it" said Josh. Aaron gave Josh an incredulous look.

"Relish? You hate relish" stated Aaron. Aaron knew Josh hated relish more than any other food, just like how he hated onions. However, he surprisingly found himself craving some, which he found really wierd. At that, he also felt a small prickling in his stomach, making him tense a bit. It felt like a small pinch so Aaron thought nothing of it.

"Yeah, I know. However, for some reason, I feel like trying it out. Heck, maybe I should get 2 burgers. I'm starving" said Josh. He felt a small pinch as well, but let it be.

"True, I guess I am hungry. Let's not go bankrupt though" said Aaron, making them both laugh.
