"My name?" said Alice dumbfoundingly trailing off as she began taking in the total sum of flesh and fat that was to be her new roomie. If Alice were to describe the newly enlarged frame of her older sister as just big, then this girl was DAMN big. As the great bulk before her righted itself, Alice's new roomie, (Megan, was it?) now stood in front of the rooms window with an almost imperial like posture. Alice realized that the girl was so wide Alice could literally fit herself entirely in the shadow she now cast...
Feeling her eyes widen and eyebrows arch in surprise, Alice suddenly recalled one of her mother's many rules of etiquette that had been so often engrained into her through pure repetition. She immediately remembered that she was to never EVER gawk and gape at someone in public as it was very, very, very rude.
"Oh,I'm Alice," said Alice quickly extending a hand towards Megan for a handshake as if this were a business meeting, "-Alice Carlyle." she finished with a well rehearsed grin having practiced this business like procedure many a time. The girl in front of her slowly looked down from Alice's beaming face to the extended hand.
"Well nice to meet you Alice Carlyle." said Megan jovially accepting the handshake with a warm smile of her own, as well as a warm overstuffed glove of a hand. Alice noted that the warm hand, no in fact the entirety of the girl in front of her, must have been three times the size of Alice's own body. Alice also noted that as they shook hands, so did Megan's vast front. Even under the clothes Megan was wearing (a yellow jacket and white undershirt which fit the girl surprisingly well) Alice could see hints of flab jiggle and shake. Megan seemed down right jolly to meet her; her face a happy freckled smile, was pristine, her blushing frame radiant with good health. Her sheer size well...impressed Alice. How much did this girl have to eat to get so damn big? Alice guessed that the girl must have weighed what Alice and her older sister weighed combined!
"You can just call me Meg or Megan, whichever I don't care." continued Megan unaware of Alice's estimating and eyeballing, and giving a shrug of her super-sized shoulders that easily displayed her easy going nature. Alice only nodded assuring Megan that she too shared her easy going nature, feeling the beginning of her very first friendship here at this new school.
"Well, I'm guessing your a freshman, or a "newbee" as they say around here. Can I help you unpack?" offered Megan taking a step towards Alice. Now Megan was even closer, Alice again began to gawk. The girl was glamorous! Alice began noting the details of Megan's face; her perfectly curled eyelashes, the perfect shine of her red hair that seemed to have been perfectly cut so it sloped back along her ears, and the oily, fetching look in her dark brown eyes. All these features were accompanied- no complimented by two apple-dumpling like cheeks, and a double chin that seemed to fit in perfectly with the rest of her face. The girl was gorgeous, from her freckled snout to the every delicate corkscrew of her hair. Was this girl a cosmetologist?
"Sure Megan...Uh what was your last name again?" said Alice who always liked to put a complete name to the face, especially if it was the name of her new roommate.
Megan suddenly looked taken aback by this probing question. Alice watched as the girl's brown eyes danced around Alice's gaze, strangely searching the room for an answer to this innocent question. Had this girl really forgotten her own last name? "Mahoney!" said the girl as if it were the answer to a million dollar question. "Megan Mahoney" she reiterated hoping to dissuaded any thoughts of suspicion. But the pause had gone on for far too long for that, Alice was suddenly suspicious of her new roomie. For whatever reason Alice was sure the girl had just lied about her last name. Well, it wasn't that much of an issue for Alice, it was just...odd. In fact recalling her surprise and shock over her new roomies weight Alice was fine with the fact that she was safe in her head, and Megan (if that was her real name) was safe in hers. For now, they were equal and more to the point they were roomies and hopefully friends.
"Sure Megan, I could use some help."
