I was woken by a rooster call (it was Peter)

I woke up, looked around and then I put my head back onto the pillow.
Then I heard it again. I jumped out of bed, opened the shutters and opened the door that lead onto the balcony.
It was dark so I couldn't see anything that well. I looked around, nothing except the sounds of crickets and birds and the peacocks and the pehens.
I was really confused. I looked around again.
I walked off the balcony, shut the doors and shut the shutters and then I got back into bed.
I stayed awake so I could see if I would hear the rooster crow.
Eventually I fell asleep.
