Confused Friends

“What just happened?” Tom asked no one in particular.

“No idea. She just seemed to…snap.” Ashley stared in confusion.

“What do you think got into her?” Tom asked.

“Well, from the way she was talking, she seemed possessive of Adam.” Ashley surmised. “Which is weird. She’s never been that way before.”

“Maybe she’s always liked him and something just brought it to the surface?” Tom guessed, as he absentmindedly took a candy out of the jar.

“Maybe. But it was really sudden. And I can’t think of what would’ve caused it.” Ashley said.

As Tom thought about what just happened with Cassie, he wished…
