"What was that all about?" asked Tom. He had walked home with Ashley and the others after leaving the store. Adam had already gotton home right now, and the remaining group was now at their houses, which were next door to each other.
"Who knows. Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow, ok?" said Ashley, flashing her million-watt smile at Tom. His heart almost literally melted at her smile, and it took a small nudge from Sara to snap him out of it.
"Y-Yeah, sure" stuttered Tom a bit. Ashley giggled and ran up the pathway to her house, entering it rather quickly. Sara then turned her attention to her brother.
"You've got it hard, huh? You really got to stop acting like an idiot when she does that" said Sara. She didn't know much more about romance than Tom, but even she could do better than what he did.
"Yeah, I know" replied Tom, as even he knew of his problems with love. Anyway, the two of them walked over to their house and entered it, leaving their shoes and such in the hallway.
"I'm heading to my room right now" said Sara, letting Tom know where she was going.
"Go ahead" replied Tom. After Sara ran off, Tom looked to his box that he got. He gently opened it, as it was easy to open. Inside, he was surprised to see what was in it. It appeared to be a small jar of what appeared to be candies of some sort. There looked to be about 30 of them, and they were in many different colors. Tom assumed that to be perhaps different tastes.
"Well, it was a free gift after all" said Tom. He was quite underwhelmed with what he got.
