Adam's Crush appears

Then out of the blue, Cassie appeared.

"Hey guys" said Cassie as she approached the group.

"Hi Cassie" said Tom.

'Gosh, she is beautiful' thought Adam, looking into Cassie's beautiful eyes. Boy, did he want her to be his. Too bad he never really got the courage to say anything to her.

The group began talking to Cassie as she approached them. Tom placed the box on a nearby park bench as the group began conversing with her.

Adam then moved towards the bench and sat down and started to listen to the conversation.

"Hmm, what's in here anyway?" he wondered to himself. He opened up the box without anyone hearing him. Inside, he was surprised to see a bunch of odd-looking candies inside.

"What are these? This is all Tom got?" wondered Adam. Despite this, Adam felt tempted to take one. So, he did just that, taking one of the box's contents for himself.

If only he had bothered to read the note that was inside the box. He was quite impatient that way. Little did he know what power the little candies possessed. Like they were in the past, these candies could fulfill the wishes of whoever ate them. Of course, Nate and his friends never bothered telling this story to their kids. They didn't need to know and who knows if they would even believe them.

"Hmm, not a bad flavor" he thought contently. Then, his thoughts wondered to just what kinds of things he wished he had.
