Ask Kate why Louise is so happy

    by: SillyBaby Author IconMail Icon
"Why is Louise so happy?" you ask Kate.

"She's looking forward to playing baby." Kate informs you. "She is the only genuine volunteer."

"She volunteered for this?" you ask.

"You volunteered too." Kate reminds you. "And you don't seem to upset about it either."

"Well It's hard to be upset when I know you like me." you tell her.

"Awww." Kate says. "That's sweet."

Tanya pretends to stick her fingers down her throat but you both ignore her.

Kate continues. "Louise got the best marks in the class but insisted on being one of the babies."

"Why?" you can't believe anyone would want to act like a baby all weekend.

"She likes to pretend to be a baby." Kate says. "She plays house with Ellen and Felicity all the time."

"She does this for fun?" you ask.

"Yep." Kate says. "Why don't you have a chat with her. Maybe you can learn to relax and enjoy the camp instead of worry about being embarrassed."

You walk over to Louise and ask. "You're excited about being treated like a baby?"

"Yes." she nods. "I play house with Ellen and Felicity but now I get to do it all weekend and have other babies to play with too."

"Why do you like acting like a baby?" you keep questioning her. "Isn't it embarrassing?"

"A little." she admits. "When I first told my friends that I wanted to play house I was scared they might laugh at me but they agreed to try and I think they enjoy it too."

"But what do you like about it." you repeat the question.

"It's nice to feel cute." she says. "And to have someone take care of you."

"Now everyone's here you can sort yourselves into families." Mrs Collins interrupts your conversation to address the class. "Sarah, Judy, Louise, Samantha, Danielle and Stephen are going to be the babies. Everyone else organise yourselves into pairs."

Kate partners with Tanya. Helen and Jane team up, as do the remaining girls. Rachel with Kelly, Ellen with Felicity, Jessica with Fiona and Ashleigh with Deborah.

"Good." Mrs Collins says. "Now the babies can choose their parents."

Louise rushes over to Ellen and Felicity, and you return quickly to Kate's side. Unenthusiastically, Danielle joins Helen and Jane, Sarah joins Jessica and Fiona, Judy joins Ashleigh and Deborah, and Samantha joins Rachel and Kelly.

"These bags have everything you'll need to take care of your babies." Mrs Collins indicates 6 large bags arranged in a neat row. "Get your babies diapered and dressed and we can get started."

"Diapers?" you ask Tanya as Kate retrieves one of the bags. "I have to wear diapers?"

"What did you expect when you agreed to be a baby?" She asks.

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. Take Kate's advice: relax and play along

*Noteb*
2. Say that you don't want to wear diapers

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
