As you get the grade back on your bio test you shudder in fright. The score at the top is only a 98%. For most kids this would be ok but for you this is a disastrous omen. You see, although You are a perfect all around nice guy at school your family is dirt poor. Through you your parents are gambling their way out of the bottomless pit that is poverty. The way they have groomed you is by stressing grades, athletics, and "advantageous" friends and then enforcing them with an iron fist and a leather belt. The only good part of your home life is that you have a kindly nice neighbor who tries to stop your family when they go to far. Unknown to you she will bring a drastic change for you soon.
As I walk in my parents immediately ambush me asking how my test went. I said,"I got an 98% overall." My parents look at me strangely and my dad yell," 98% do you expect me to believe this shit! we have spent a fortune on you to send you to a public school and this is how you repay me!" It was then that I noticed an already empty bottle of generic vodka sitting on the table. This meaning my parents are on another drinking rage. My father begins to pull off his belt as a person begins to pound on the door. I run to the door and standing there is my savior, Mrs. Isobelle Vladimir, my 45 year old neighbor. As I open the door she drags me out and I offer no resistance as we walk over to her suite.
Once inside Mrs. Isobelle makes us tea as we talk into the night about school my parents and what I wanted to do in life. When I was about to go home she stopped me by asking me one question,"What would you sacrifice to get away from your parents?" I stood in the doorway thinking about what she said and finally answered,"I would give anything and I mean anything as long as I would be able to escape my parents. Mrs.Isobelle simply answered,"if you want to escape your parents then come to my apartment directly after school tomorrow.
