Elizabeth went first. She stood silently for a moment and then dashed across the opening to take refugee behind some packing cases.

When she was safe Jason made his break across the alleyway and flung himself behind the dumpster. The two then took turns moving from one place of seculsion to another. Finally they reached their car.

"You know we have to leave this car behind." Elizabeth said.

"Yeah but if it can get us into the parking lot we can steal another." offered her son.

"Sounds good to me. You drive. I'll keep down in the backseat" she replied as she crawled through the passenger side rear door and into the seat.

Just as Jason in about to enter the car ....
