Yuki wasn't about to let this setback ruin her shot at the AV club presidency. She was the most qualified person for the job, and the rest of the club knew it. The only problem was that being qualified for the job wasn't the only factor when it came to any election, and Yuki had strong opposition from her biggest rival in the club, Alexandra. The other girl had done her best to turn the election into a popularity contest, and Yuki's presidency had gone from a sure thing to a less-than-certain outcome.
There was no way Yuki was going to let Alexandra win by default. That meant it was time to run. Yuki was silently thankful for her decision to take up jogging as a hobby, allowing her to stay in shape and somewhat improving her speed. She'd need every advantage she could get to reach the club room in time.
What Yuki failed to notice, however, was the frayed stitching on the back of her borrowed sports bra. The damaged threading pulled apart when Yuki put the top on, straining the fabric already. With every energetic step the young woman took, the threading got weaker still. By the time Yuki reached the staircase to the next floor, the hole had grown substantially, the back of the sports bra held together only by a thin strip of frayed fabric.
Mere meters away from the club room door, the top could no longer hold together. The weakened fabric finally snapped completely, and the fabric quickly contracted with the release of pressure. Yuki, slowing down and with her focus on the club room door, failed to notice the bra's destruction, continuing on as the sports bra fell to the ground in a heap of elastic fabric.
Turning the door handle, Yuki slipped into the AV club room, giving a quick nod to the rest of the club that had already gathered. Not surprised by her clubmates' shocked stares (she was, after all, dressed very oddly), Yuki-
