Carefully avoiding your mom, or anyone else who might still be home, you sneak- actually, you float down to the garage. One of your sister's powers is levitation, and you master it easily. The door is unlocked, and you gently push it open, landing inside of the garage.
Your sister turns around, holding another of your inventions which she appears to have tweaked, "Okay Luke. Time to- What, WHAT!" Erika sprints at you, and fondles your hand, trying to pull the power ring off, but just by thinking about stopping her, you appear to conjure a pink barrier around it. "TAKE THAT OFF! TAKE THAT OFF RIGHT NOW!"
With a slight motion of your hand, you push Erika away and she goes flying into your workbench. That's going to hurt when you get back in there.
More calmly, your sister gets up. "Luke, please," she begs, sincerely, "Please take that off. The ring is not a toy or a power to be messed with. Just take it off, we'll switch back, and I'll explain everything to you."
You stroke your chin, and think. If you switch back now, you'll never get to experiment with this power. You hold up your ring and point it at your body. "I don't know, 'sis, Your body has more going for you than I thought. Maybe I should hand on to it..." You aim the ring, and try to create a force field around your sister.
But you don't really know what you're doing. Instead of a force field, you fire a beam- directly at the body swapping machine. "Shit! Shit! Shit!" you scream aloud as the terminal melts under the force of the ring. You try to stop the beam before it's too late, but it continues of its own volition. Not knowing what else to do, you slide the ring off. It drops to the ground, and you crash back down to the concrete, once again in your sister's regular clothing.
The beam continues for a moment more, and finally fades out. The control terminal on the machine is now a steaming pile of liquid metal and plastic on the floor. Your sister, still trapped in your own body, stares you down with absolute killing intent. Until the ring on the floor between you lights up, [NEW POWER ACQUIRED]
