You couldn't believe you were doing this, you were going to put your aunt in the body of an animal. The best choice was obviously Jake, that way you were able to keep an eye on her, soon to be him. Jake was happily playing in the backyard at the moment so was easy to fetch.
"Where have you been?" Your mother asked you as you came out of the garage.
"With aunt Kelly, she was feeling a little down so she's helping me with an experiment. We now need Jake's help," you knew you could tell your mother the truth in such a fashion that she wouldn't ask anymore questions.
"Okay, but don't break her," she gave you a wink. "I don't want to buy insects to feed her or anything like that." She was of course referencing your last experiment where you turned Erika into a bat.
"Don't worry I've learnt my lesson from last time, transmogrification is an extremely inefficient to way to transform someone," you said as you opened the back door. "Come here Jake," you called your dog and he came running inside.
"So you are transforming your aunt?" Your mother asked as she looked at Jake and back at you, she gathered what you might be up to but not how.
"Yes, it was her idea though.... just don't tell dad," you say as you lead Jake to the garage.
"Oh, I'm not saying anything," your mum promised with a snicker. She amused herself imagining her sister in law as a dog begging for treats.
You hurried your way back to the garage and locked the door behind you. This time you double checked both pods and found Kelly was still there. Her eyes light up as she saw Jake sitting at your side. "Ooh, a dog, that's going to be interesting. You could take me for walks, and give me pats, I can imagine my tail wagging now."
"Jake, in!" you point to the empty pod. Jake obeyed instantly, it wasn't the first time you had encouraged Jake into a machine. The pod door closed and Jake barked and scratched at the door, now stuck inside. The machine fired up and a split second later the doors opened.
Your aunt Kelly's body stumbled out of her pod, unsure how to move in that body, she was also whimpering like a dog. Jake's body came out with its tail wagging, as he started to lick your feet.
"Aunt Kelly is that you?" you asked double checking the swap was successful. "Two barks and a twirl for yes. Also if you want to change back, give me a growl and scratch the ground." You would be telling your aunt how to communicate from now on. Kelly obeyed. "Hmm maybe I should get you a job as a show dog, I'm sure it's a bit like modelling," you mused. Kelly barked once at that suggestion. "Okay, regular house pet it is..." She barked twice and twirled. You weren't sure how long she'd be content like that. You opened the garage door to let her back inside the house, to explore as your new pet.
