Leaving your body in the garage, you sneak out into the main house, and walk around, observing everything from a new perspective. Everything was bigger, and out of reach. You couldn't see colors vivdly, but smells were all the more powerful, as if it were some kind of sixth sense. You could smell everyone in your family. You could accurately pinpoint the scents of your mother and father and brother and sister. You could tell they were in the house, and even where they had been recently.
You smelled your brother approaching, and surely enough Kyle comes trotting up. What does he want? you think to yourself, until he rubs your head and scratches behind your ears. That. Feels. Awesome. Maybe Kyle's not so bad after all.
"Come on, Jake. Let's go for a walk."

Before you could do anything edgewise, Kyle had clipped a leash to a metal clip attached to the collar around your neck. As your brother walks toward the door, the collar gets yanked with him. You try to fight it, but soon come to terms with it, and follow behind to avoid getting choked. You're lead out of the house, and onto the concrete sidewalks. The house looked weird, but even though you know the neighborhood, you can hardly recognize it through these eyes. It's like you've stepped into a whole other world, and there's a whole lot of brand new smells that you've never noticed before. The chain on your neck seems inconsequential at this point, because you seem to be leading your brother. Something inside of you is eager to explore this strange new world in front of you.
There's a park in front of you, and you can clearly see other dogs from where you stand. On the other hand, you've caught a wisp of a mysterious odor coming from farther down the street. Curiosity overwhelms you.
