Overeating and laziness

    by: Envy Author IconMail Icon
Spiral mountain had light shine down upon it one mid-day lunch much like any other. It was not a particularly remarkable day in any capacity, and in all likelihood would not be. Gruntilda had been defeated at least two times before over, and last time over four years ago. The mountain had been quiet and peaceful ever since.

Light crept into the window of Banjo and Kazooie's small cottage, awakening the red bregull. She knew that could only mean one thing: it was the crack of noon and time to get up to a big day of doing absolutely nothing. And why not? The duo had succeeded before and since then had not been doing much of anything. Already their days were filled mainly with eating and playing video games, and neither saw much problem with that. Kazooie waited for her turn at the sink, her eyes wandering in the meantime. She noticed a seven year old picture of the two of them hanging on a nearby wall, with Banjo looking trim and muscular back in those days. Turning to him now, it was obvious his trim figure had melted away from endless honey and pizza to a figure with a prominent potbelly, and probably a good third more poundage than his prime. It was a fact Kazooie liked to make fun of.

Once Banjo had finished washing up, he let Kazooie begin in turn while he checked on the food. The red bird cleaned herself thoroughly; it would get quite humid when you mainly hang around in a backpack. Now was about time to have a bit of a stretch, she thought, leaving the well-worn pack and washing her feet in the water. Her eyes caught her reflection in the pool and glanced back at the years-old picture. She herself...
