Winnie went downstairs to the kitchen, Miss Grimwood and Matches were making pancakes as Winnie picked up her platter and got a bowl filling it with water as she put them on the table near her seat
"I can't wait for the volleyball match" Phanty said cutting up breakfast as Winnie reached for a bottle
"Those boys won't stand a chance for our new moves" Winnie said pouring a bottle of syrup on her pancakes
"Just go easy on the syrup Winnie,need i remind you last time you overdid it" Miss Grimwood said drinking a cup of tea
"yeah, you had syrup stuck in your fur for hours" Tanis said drinking a glass of expired milk as she cut up her breakfast and proceeded eating with the other girl, she finished first and put her dishes in the sink
"Miss Grimwood can i go outside for a while ,i would like some time alone" Winnie asked politely
"I see no trouble in that, it is Saturday, just be back before lunch" Miss Grimwood said as Winnie finished drinking her bowl of water as she head up to her room reaching into her drawer she pulling out her MP3 player and put a set of headphones on turned the player on when she was outside shuffling thru the songs as she stopped on a fast-paced song as she proceeded to run thru the woods as she stooped reaching a tall tree as she released her claws into the bark of the tree climbing to the top as she noticed two of the cadets a distance away as she jumped down as her arm got caught on a gap in the branch as she was hanging there
"Fuck" she yelled in her head trying to withstand the pain she she pulled her hand as she fell her forearm scratching against the bark of the tree as she sat the sobbing clenching her arm as Jamal and Miguel walked up
"Hey it's one of the Grimwood girls" Miguel said as they walked up
"Winnie you're bleeding, is it that time of the month already" Jamal said hoping for a laugh
"That's not funny Jamal" Miguel said
"Bleeding, time of the month, It's a period joke" Jamal explained
"I get the joke but she's injured as Miguel put his hand on Winnie's arm touching the cuts
"OOOOWWWWWWUUUUUU!!!!! Winnie howled in pain
"We should clean that up wound" Miguel said
"No way" Jamal said shaking his head
"Are you really that heartless" Miguel asked
"No, if we take her back to her school, her friends might think we did it, and Col. Colloway will have our hides if we take her on school-grounds Jamal said
"You're right, but we should do something" Miguel said
"Winnie i'll need your ribbon" Jamal said unfastening the stand of light blue fabric from the dark dress as Jamal wrapped in Winnie's arm
"How does that feel" Miguel asked
"Better" Winnie responded
"That should prevent it from getting infected, but you should go back to Grimwood's have her look at it" Miguel said
"But wasn't our fault " Jamal added as Winnie walked back to her school questioning the cadets kind act, they were always jerks, Tug Roper the most but Miguel was so caring to help her wounds, as she was thinking this her chest was warming up as she arrived at the school as she looked for Miss Grimwood who was cleaning in the den where the other girls were.
"Winnie why is your arm wrapped up" Tanis asked
"Just a few scratches" Winnie said sitting
"Scratches, let me see dear" Miss Grimwood said
"How do you get those" Sibella asked as Winnie
