There was nothing more Asuka loved than her kaiju status. Just like the monster in the movies she adored she had been blessed with the gift of height and power. Power that was currently allowing her to demolish this abandoned business shopping district that needed to be steamrolled.
She'd spent the better part of ten minutes putting her laser breath to good use and leveling the offending buildings. It never ceased to amuse her to watch the abandoned structures burn. And the people taking photos and cheering her on would happily agree. There was nothing Kayuko City loved more than watching their resident kaiju go to work.
This district was scheduled to be demolished anyway to build a new more advanced version, and what better way to save money and have a show than have Asukazilla come on through and destroy the place?
It was genius really. Asukazilla got to feel like the monster she enjoyed being, the people and tourists got to see a kaiju in their element, and the city got to save money on demolition.
Everybody wins.
Asukazilla took a massive step back to watch her crimson flames swallow the district while she wore a dopey grin on her face. She really loved being a monster. If only she had something to legally destroy everyday, she'd be in heaven. Oh well, it's probably for best anyway. If she had something to destroy everyday than there'd be no city left.
