Chapter #6

You cautiously rub the lamp...

((Switching to third person because I kept forgetting to write in second person while making this post))

Aaron rubbed the lamp cautiously. He thought to himself that it couldn't really be a genie lamp, that genies just existed in stories... but it never hurt to try, right?

After a few rubs, nothing seemed to happen. He nodded, and started to put the lamp down, when a massive jet of colorful steam shot out. Aaron dropped the lamp, falling on his ass and backing away fearfully as the smoke took shape, turning into a handsome, white-haired Arab man in what looked like a blue version of Aladdin's Prince Ali outfit, for lack of a better reference in Aaron's mind. Looking at his face, Aaron was reminded of another Disney character, as the shape of the genie's face reminded Aaron of an Arab version of Puck from Gargoyles.

The genie looked around, spotting Aaron and kneeling. "You have released me, my master. As per the laws of genie-kind, I am yours to command until you decide to release me from your service by giving my lamp to another."

Aaron looked at the genie and gulped nervously. "So... So I get three wishes, right?"

The genie looked offended. "Djinn give three. And they usually try to screw over the person who makes the wishes by 'creative interpretation.' I am a genie, and we give unlimited wishes, including undos. And even if the lamp is taken, I only grant wishes to you unless you willingly give me up," he said.

Aaron looked around, and noticed people staring, a policeman starting to come over to the two of them. "Then I wish you'd tone it down a little... I don't want people knowing about you..."

The genie nodded, and snapped his fingers. Everyone went back to what they were doing, forgetting about the genie's sudden appearance. The genie's clothes changed, becoming a casual blue t-shirt and loose-fitting black jeans, a pair of black sneakers on his feet. He smiled, and picked up the lamp, handing it to Aaron.

"There you are," the genie said, "Now no one will notice me no matter what I do." To prove it, he turned into a giant blue cobra. No one batted an eye, going about their business as if nothing happened.

"Wow..." Aaron said softly. "Do... Do you have a name?"

The genie smiled, turning back to human form. He had a feeling this would be a good master. Most never even asked his name. "Indeed. I am Fen'Faral," he said. "It is an honor, my master."

Aaron nodded, a grin starting to form on his face as his brain started to process the fact that he had a genie...

You have the following choices:

1. Aaron has Fen'Faral transport him home so he can ask questions...

*Noteb*
2. Aaron makes a wish right then and there...

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
