“We can’t go in there,” said Chloe. “An animal could be in there.”

“Or maybe not. But there are cops out here,” said Raven.

Chloe chose to run with Raven to the cave. It was already nighttime, and when they entered the cave, they were in total darkness. They waited, hoping the cops would eventually give up their search or look somewhere else.
