He gets up to warn the giants about the defense

"Close the door behind me and barrikade it well", he ordered the guards as he rode past them on his proud mount Mergor. The black stallion blew out warm steam from his nostrils and looked down at the guard with his black eyes as if to emphasis Raenoks orders. There was no sign of fear as they rode into the dark night, although both of them knew that they wont come back. That they will die as traitors to their own kind and rot in hell for what he is about to do but he had to do what was right and in his blind love this was the only right think he could think about. Without a rest they rode through the pale moonlight towards the position the scouts have located the lovely creatures.

It took hour after hour after hour until he saw the red illuminating of fire far ahead. The first songs, sung by angels about death and destruction reached his ears just an hour later. It was this frightening contrast of the lyrics which are be sung to the voices that sings them that made him falter for the first time since he left his hometown. Blood, death and destruction where the main topics but it sounded so beautiful that he had to listen to the gruesome stories they told for a while. He thought about what he is about to do. If his town would be even worth a piece of lyric and if it could stand besides the crushed skull of the dragon which a women named Hedra had choked and then killed. Or the mighty fortress of the woods which they seemed to have raized without using a single tool or weapon. No. His village will only be one village on their way. Probably simply crushed as they march over the remains of it. Never even beeing mentioned again.
